A Life's Experience

This is a pastel drawing done this past semester at the UW art program. I find themes like life, wisdom, experience, perspective, and apparently old bearded dudes very interesting.

Here is another of my tracks. I began this one experimenting with a drum and bass tempo and it all kinda fell into place! I will definitely be doing more of this kinda stuff, it was way fun to make and it always makes me move my feet!

La Lune - Original Tune

Wow long time no post! I've been quite busy moving back to the states, getting back into school, and all that jazz! But that doesn't mean I haven't had time for some drawing and production!
Below is a new track of mine called 'La Lune'. Its more ambient and progressive than the last few i've done, and it was a ton of fun to make. Give it a listen and I hope you enjoy it!

Mirrored Drawing - Finger Face

This is a pencil (and some charcoal) drawing of mine featuring a man with a mouthful of mutations.

I first drew this one pretty asymmetrically, and thought it would be cool to make symmetrical versions of each side in photoshop.

Big Face - Wheatpaste

This was is my first attempt at wheatpasting. The face began as vector art I made in illustrator printed on a piece of A0 paper. I used black marker and spray paint for most of the value. the speech bubble is just spray paint on paper. The face alone is about 3 feet wide X 4.5 feet tall. Its up on a friend's terrace, and I assume some good Netherlands rain should peel it off eventually.

Spray Paint - Rasta

This is my first spray paint piece, which I sketched out before painting. Even though I used it as more of a guideline for the final piece rather than trying to copy it exactly, I think it really helped me get the proportions right. The final piece is about 6 feet tall, or around 7 if you include the space below the tongue.

Moustache Man

Collaborative Spray Paint Piece near Strasbourg, France

I just returned from an Easter trip to Strasbourg, France with some friends I met here in The Netherlands. During this trip we found time to do some painting! The image shows a spray paint piece by Austen Williams, Ghislan Robert, and Maxim Rapinat. It is approximately 8' tall by 20' wide. Each of us contributed a different part of the piece. Ghislan did the "Sena", which is his usual graffiti tag, I did the tentacle monster, and Maxim did the mushroom. We had no sketches or plans for this piece, so we made it up as we went. We are pretty happy with how it turned out under the circumstances.
(Disregard what is above the white paint, these are previous pieces that have since been painted over by others before us)

This is a doodle I did with some pens and Copic markers. I had no concept in mind while drawing it, but an obvious interpretation could involve addiction.

My Creative Flow

This blog is where I will post my pictures, drawings, songs, videos, etc.
It is going to be some kind of online portfolio that will cover anything from small, quick doodles to songs that I have worked for days on.
